Malissa was born in Dallas, Tx. but grew up in California. Growing up in a Military family kept them on the move through most of her childhood.  Relocating so often meant she's never met a stranger.

After having had a professional career in Radio Broadcasting and Television, she decided to grab a hold of her dream to become a cosmetologist.
"I’d always dreamt of becoming a hairstylist! Having been a client for years there were things I felt I was missing from the experience and I simply want to be a small part of peoples’ happy. I have a passion for education. Not just taking continuous classes but educating my clients on proper hair care  with products tailored to their lifestyle and hair type."

Malissa finds inspiration in everything. She draws inspiration from the leaves changing colors, the animals at the zoo, conversations with her clients, trips to the museums, textures, patterns, color and design. She's also inspired by her fellow stylists.

Mostly, Her favorite place to turn for inspiration is her clients, she gets excited by a clients desire for change.

Malissa is always up for a challenge. She loves to help clients that have had bad experiences in the past. She has a unique ability to empathize with a client and their needs giving her the skills necessary to listen to your concerns.

Malissa is loving some of the most popular trends we see these day in hair. She's really into Balayage hair painting, and fashion colors.

In addition, She is currently working at perfecting the art of Men's cutting.

When Malissa is away from the Salon, she spends as much time possible, hanging with her puppy dogs. They are her babies.

Malissa and her husband are renovating a mini school bus into a RV. Her name’s Janice. She enjoys hiking Colorado’s 14ers, and indulges in the sights and scenes in and around our beautiful State. She is a professional thrift store shopper, enjoys brunch, and drinking Colorados draft beer in yoga pants is always a welcome plan B. Malissa always enjoys crafting and creating anything with her hands. Doing hair is another form for her creative outlet.
